#FitnessJourney: Take it easy

Hi everyone,

This summer has been pretty tough weatherwise. From hot and humid to downpouring rain, it didn’t stop me. Yes, there are a few days I missed because of it, but I made it up somehow. This week was an easier week, but my foot also started to act up.

Like I mentioned in my previous post, I didn’t do my run on Tuesday to hopefully help my foot to get better especially that I need to do longer distances in the coming days!

I call this, take it easy… I can be my own worst enemy, but sometimes, you do need to listen to what your body says to you. We just need to make the difference between laziness and listening to our body. It’s easy to fall into the laziness trap.

My rule of thumb is not skipping 3 days in a row unless, of course, you’re badly injured and can’t go on your activity without cursing because of the pain. If it’s the case, it isn’t right. If you’re ok to continue on, if you do feel a little pain, there’s nothing wrong to take it easier than what you usually do. At least you’re doing it. Remember, there are other people who can’t.

Stretching, Icing and Take it easy is what you need to do.
